Attorney Ben T. Peterson is originally from Germany and was raised in Europe. Mr. Peterson moved to the United States to attend Villanova University where he graduated with a BA in Political Science in 1993. Mr. Peterson received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore in 1996.
Mr. Peterson interned for judges in Annapolis, Maryland while in law school and worked on the Exxon Valdez litigation in Anchorage, Alaska. Mr. Peterson was licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado in 1996 and has specialized in personal injury and medical malpractice litigation for the last 28 years. Mr. Peterson has successfully represented thousands of injured victims in the State of Colorado and secured millions of dollars for his clients over the past three decades. Mr. Peterson’s litigation experience and specialized understanding of the medical aspect of injury cases has yielded maximum results for his clients. Mr. Peterson has taught Continuing Medical Education classes to medical providers to update doctors on legal issues that impact their practice. The law firm of Hanchey and Peterson has over 60 years of experience representing clients. The American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys designated the firm as a 10 Best Attorneys award winner.
Mr. Peterson was an Independent Director on the USA Boxing Board of Directors and was Chairman of the Appeals Board during his tenure. He is also a member of the Faith and Citizens Program through the Colorado Department of Corrections where he volunteers to reduce prisoner recidivism rates.
